Confederate foot officers sword. This unmarked sword is believed to be a product of New Orleans. It has the bottom stitched scabbard. The blade isa non-stopped gutter or fuller type. The Brass Mounts are pinned to the scabbard top and drag.
The wire on the grip has had a repair. the leather and scabbard has a period repair at the top mount and drag.
This is a great example of a Southern Officer's Sword.
